Speaking engagements

Kam Miller is a TV writer, producer, author, and speaker whose mission is to encourage creators to get their content – scripts, novels, plays, films, shorts, web series, comics, you name it – out into the world. She also seeks to inspire inclusion of content creators from all backgrounds.

Kam often speaks about TV pilot writing and the business of television. She addresses the complexities of book adaptation, selling novels to Hollywood, and working with screenwriters to adapt novels. Kam highlights the importance of diversity and inclusion.

With a warm, conversational style, Kam uses media and pop-culture references to illustrate what’s happening in the world and in the entertainment business. She delivers useable, actionable information in a manner that’s energetic, entertaining, and encouraging.

Through her teaching and professional programs, Kam has helped thousands of writers break into Hollywood. While in graduate school, she created the highly successful USC First Pitch, the official pitch festival for the USC School of Cinematic Arts. As an alum, she co-created USC First Team and the Assistant Training Program for Television. She enjoys helping emerging and established writers and filmmakers.

Kam has taught television writing at the USC School of Cinematic Arts and Boston University’s Film and Television program, two top film schools.
